Through Matlen Silver's work with Fortune 100 clients, Matlen Silver has developed a methodology to collect application information, correlate it to business value, and provide recommendations to rationalize your inventory of applications based on a forward projection of business value.

Many organizations have a substantial inventory of applications with minimum process in place to manage the ROI of these assets.  Matlen Silver has developed an evaluation process to assess our clients’ applications, measure the cost and contribution of each application developing an Application Inventory Profile.  The Profile is then used to produce an Application Rationalize plan to increase value, reduce cost and redundancy, and leverage new technologies, such as Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).  Finally we develop a recommended road map for our client’s to maintain an Application Portfolio Management process to manage this critical asset base going forward.
