Application Rationalization Assessments

IT Infrastructure Assessments

Matlen Silver’s IT infrastructure assessments encompass organizational reviews, technology budgets, service level agreements, and existing infrastructure problems.  The primary goal of these assessments is to optimize our clients’ IT services support and delivery processes, leverage new process frameworks, such as ITIL (Infrastructure Technology Infrastructure Library), and SOI (Service-Oriented Infrastructure).

Matlen Silver has worked within IT support organizations that support global operations. This experience has matured into an Organizational Assessment Approach that captures the activities performed by IT support groups, shows how these groups correspond with other clients’ best practices and provides practical, simple steps to advance the organization.

Matlen Silver also employs an Operational Process and Controls Optimization (OPCO) approach to focus on problem areas and apply best practices, such as ITIL or CMM for IT services, to demonstrate value and a quick return on investment.

Transitional Planning Design

Matlen Silver designs and plans IT transitions to new platforms or service providers (e.g., data center moves, server consolidations).  This offering includes an assessment of IT workloads, the current infrastructure supporting this workload, and the development of implementation strategies and detailed plans for transition or transformation.
